anyways this is between the PS3 and Wii...NOT 360
Although I wouldn't want to shake any catatonic fanboys like achira or anything out of their sleep. And the Wii is just generally a 2-3 year console at best. It'll be replaced like the gameboys have been periodically. The wii is a cool console and a party machine, but no match for the PS3 or 360.
Yah I agree about the points being a little annoying. But both Sony and Nintendo are doing it apparently.
But it's all about the psychology behind it. Because you'll have excess points after you buy something. So when you go to buy again it doesn't seem to hurt your wallet as much because you have left over. And the cycle continues.

calderra, if the PS3 is gonna make HD movie downloads that's a mistake. It's entirely against their whole blu-ray pitch.
And since they want it to dominate, letting people buy or rent HD movies online will only encourage them to not buy BR movies. So if they are, that's a very bad decision from them.
This should increase other hollywood studios to offer movies so they can get a peice of this action.

If the rumor is pro-PS3 = TRUE and better than expected
I forget which developer said it, but when you do splitscreen it's twice as taxing on the power, frame rate, and other components.
